Red Cabbage and Apples

I'm not sure what to say about this recipe. I love cabbage and apples. It reminds me of time I spent in Germany in the 70's. This is a basic recipe, nothing fancy, just good!

1 red cabbage, shredded
2 TBS vegetable oil
2 onions, chopped
1 C vegetarian beef broth, beef broth or vegetable broth
1 C Hearty Burgundy Wine
2 TBS red wine vinegar
sa;t and pepper to taste
1/2 C currents
2 TBS brown sugar
2 apples, peeled, cored, chopped

In a large stock pot:
Heat oil
Add onions and saute until soft
Add cabbage and saute for 10 minutes
Add broth, wine vinegar, salt and pepper
Stir well

Cover and simmer for 30 minutes
Uncover, add currents, brown sugar, salt and apples
cook an additional 10 minutes
