Cinnamon Cream Cheese Sticks plus 2 original variations!
This truly comes under the category of crazy American recipes. I find this interesting.
As I was researching these filled sticks, I decided that I had to come up with an original name and a few variations of the recipe.
I could create many different variations, but I'll leave that up to my readers.
I've posted two original variations along with the recipe that inspired me.
Cinnamon Cream Cheese Sticks:
1 loaf sliced White Bread, crust removed
1 package (8 ounces) Cream Cheese, softened
3/4 C Confectioners Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
3/4 cup Butter, melted, set aside in a bowl
1 C Sugar
1-1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
Flatten Bread with a rolling-pin.
In a bowl, combine Cream Cheese, Confectioner's Sugar and Vanilla
In another bowl, combine Sugar and Cinnamon, set aside.
Spread about 1 TBS of Cheese Cheese Mixture on each slice of Bread.
Roll up, jelly roll style.
Dip in melted Butter
Roll in Cinnamon-Sugar.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Crunchy Hazelnut Spread Filled Sticks:
16 slices of White Bread, crust removed
1 8oz. package of Cream Cheese, softened
1 C Confectioner's Sugar
1 C Crunchy Hazelnut Spread ( Kroger)
1 tsp Vanilla
3/4 C Butter, melted, set aside in a bowl
1 C crushed Hazelnuts , set aside in a bowl
Flatten Bread with a rolling pin.
In a bowl combine Cream Cheese, Confectioner's Sugar, Hazelnut Spread and Vanilla
Place crushed Hazelnuts in a bowl, set aside
Spread about 1 TBS of Cream Cheese Mixture on each slice of Bread
Roll up, jelly roll style
Dip in melted Butter
Roll in crushed Hazelnuts
Place on an ungreased baking sheet
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until golden brown
Biscoff Spread Filled Sticks:
16 slices of White Bread, crust removed
1 8oz. package of Cream Cheese, softened
1 C Confectioner's Sugar
1 C Biscoff Spread ( this is a spread made with Biscoff Cookies) , made by Lotus
1 tsp Vanilla
3/4 C butter, melted, set aside in a bowl
1 C Cinnabon Sprinkles, set aside in a bowl
Flatten Bread with a rolling pin
In a bowl, combine Cream Cheese, Confectioner's Sugar, Biscoff Spread and Vanilla
Spread about a TBS of the Cream Cheese Mixture on each slice of Bread
Roll up, jelly roll style
Dip in melted Butter
Roll in Cinnabon Sprinkles
Place on ungreased baking sheet
Bake350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until golden brown
